Ruffled Grouse 6′ 3″ Paul H Young “Midge” Bamboo Fly Rod from Fly Fish Express
This is a new bamboo fly rod built for our store by Joe Scheer of Fishinfiddler fly rods. It is a 6′ 3″ rod built on a Paul H Young Midge taper. It is a fantastic small stream rod. It will throw a 4 wt line but can handle a 5 if you wish. Rod is “medium” in cane color, not super light but not as dark as an Orvis. Rust red wraps with an ebony reel seat with nickle silver slide bands from REC. Also has genuine agate stripper guide that matches the wraps. This is a 2/2 configuration meaning a 2 pc with 2 tips. Rod comes with lifetime guarantee. Also included are a solid heavy duty aluminum tube with brass appointments and hand made rod sock. Finally, you will also get a hand made nickle silver and fancy wood ferulle plug.
